In the early seventies, Charles R. Meeker, Jr, gathered a cast of talent performers from the ranks of his various live show productions. The "Kids" came from Cedar Point, Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Over Geogia and Dessert Fiesta! On September_?, 1973, Charlie's Kids opened Charlie's Place, in the historic show room of the Shearton Hotel in downtown Ft. Worth. Charlie Club eventually moved to Dallas, changed name to Incredible Charlies and closed operations in 1976. - - etc - -
