We've been around long enough
to have a history.
So here are some of the highlights. Enjoy!
Incredible
Productions was
established in 1980 in Dallas, Texas. Prior to that, co-founders Mac
Martin and Jim Gaertner were partners along with Dallas showman, Charles
R. Meeker Jr. and Judy Houghton in "Charlie's Place", a Dinner
Theatre operation in Ft. Worth, Texas. After Mr. Meeker passed away
in 1976, Martin and Gaertner moved the theatre to Dallas under the name
"Incredible Charlies!" They soon discovered that conventions
and business meetings were a market for their brand of customized shows.
Instead of bringing the convention groups to their theatres, they started
taking their shows to the conventions. "Our theatre seating was
limited and, frankly, our shows were better than our steaks and spaghetti."
"Incredible's" first major project in 1980 was a tour introducing
a new line of Kirby vacuum cleaners. "We lost money on the tour,
but everyone involved received a new vacuum cleaner!"
Southwest Airlines' 10th Anniversary show in 1981 marked the start of
an association with the airline that continues today. "We're honored
to have received ten and fifteen year service pins from Southwest just
like their employees." The 25th Anniversary show produced by "Incredible"
in 1996 was a star studded affair including appearances by Jay Leno
and Willie Nelson.
"Our success over the years is largely due to such longstanding
relationships with valued clients."
"Incredible" earned
a reputation for doing incredible things.....like producing a full scale
circus, thrill acts and all, in a hotel atrium; theatrically introducing
and revealing new jets; and directing corporate sales people in song
and dance production numbers.
The passing years saw "Incredible's" array of products and
services expand to meet the needs of the marketplace. Production management,
technical support, decor, booking and handling of celebrity acts, theme
parties, special events, creative services..."All were natural
extensions of the things we were already doing."
"Back in 1980 we were enthusiastic newcomers. Now we're just as
enthusiastic about what we do -- plus we have the track record and experience
that years of success produce."
For Incredible Productions a banquet show in 1980 has now become a grand
opening of a new hotel or a gala corporate awards ceremony, an interactive
theme party or a motivational multi-media
module.
"Whatever the application, you can be sure that it will be
produced with the professionalism and theatrical flair that since 1980
has been the signature of our work."
